Fans for exhaust air systems

Dedicated to ensure safety

In order to ensure safety, Seat fans are dedicated for extraction of gases, vapours and fumes in toxic and corrosive environments.

Polypropylene Structure

Resistance to chemical corrosion in plastic fans depends primarily on the thermoplastic material and compounding components used. We chose to use a polypropylene structure. Polypropylene is a material resistant to most products used in laboratories, strong mineral acids, caustic and ammoniac solutions, inorganic saline solutions and organic and detergent products.

Ideal for Corrosive and Toxic Environments

Made of polypropylene, with curved-blade and single inlet, Seat Ventilation offers long-lasting, corrosion-resistant fans for use in corrosive environments and ATEX, in compliance with EU Commission Regulation 327/2011 of 30 March 2011.  Where metallic fans corrode, our long-lasting products continue to function flawlessly.

In its most basic format, the fume extraction system is composed of a conduit, a fan, an exhaust chimney and a warning system in the event of extraction failure (visual and sound alarm, in line with EN14175 Regulation Part 2).  The materials that make up the extraction system must be able to resist chemical stress due to exhaust.  Centrifugal fans are far less sensitive to variations in pressure and less noisy than are helicoid fans, and are thus to be preferred over the latter.

High-Quality Injection and Blow-Moulding Processes

Injection and blow-moulding are processes that offer multiple advantages: control over the materials, thickness, appearance, and response of the plastic compounds, enabling heightened quality control.

Easy Installation and Reduced Energy Consumption

Whether using one or several fans, the type chosen can have a major impact on energy consumption. We take into consideration whether the fan is suited to flow levels and load-loss, and advise that flow be regulated by varying the fan speed.

Full range of fans available in ATEX Zone II, Category 3 GAS version

We offer a wide variety of engine and configuration options to enable maximum flexibility of installation.  In addition, all of our models are available in ATEX form. The ATEX 94/9/EC Product Version regulation sets out the conditions under which products used in sectors exposed to risk of explosion may be placed on the market. Following the publication of a report on the tests conducted by LCIE, subsidiary of Bureau Veritas, in 2003, covering all verification points required for the EN 13463-1 (2002) Standard, our EEX-d, Zone IIB, T4, Category 3 GAZ fans were tested and found compliant with Directive 2014/34/EC and the EN1127-1 and EN13463-1 Standards.  The purpose of the Directive is to protect individuals working in the sectors subject to risk of explosion. Made of anti-static polypropylene, a material resistant to chemical solvents, our fans for use in potentially explosive atmospheres, are chosen by laboratories, chemical, oil and pharmaceutical industry players.
